Finding Home by SorceressCirce

A/N: Happy birthday, Vi0lentSerenity!  I heard you like JasPeter, so I tried my hand at it.  I hope you enjoy what the boys told me to write - and I wish you all the best things for your birthday!

Special thanks to naelany for providing the prompts.

Flight

Glancing to my right, I can’t help but smile at the way his lips are parted as he snores lightly.  He’s exhausted from the ordeal of the week spent visiting my family.

I am, too.

Turbulence causes a woman behind us to gasp, but he sleeps on.

That’s Jasper.

Always a rock, always my center of calm.

That’s why I needed him with me on this all-important trip.  He couldn’t understand how a man could have reached thirty-one without telling his parents he’s gay, but the answer to me was simple… obvious.

There was no reason good enough until him.

Memory

“Nervous?” Jasper asked, brushing my hair out of my eyes.

I nodded, licking my lips.  “You?”

He shrugged, but I saw him swallow.  “Nah, your parents love me.”

We both heard the unspoken words –
as your roommate.

Initial greetings and dinner passed by in a blur.  I barely noticed the way Jasper charmed my mother and joked with my father.

What I did notice was the lack of contact – no soothing hand on my knee, no absent-minded kiss on my cheek.  He was trying hard to make this easy on me.

I didn’t want easy anymore.

I just wanted him.

Relief

Jasper stirs beside me, bringing me out of my memories as he sits up and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.

“Sorry, baby.”  He kisses me softly, and I hum in contentment.  “Was I out long?”

I shake my head, and he studies me, tilting his head.  “You okay, Peter?”

My smile is automatic, bursting to life whenever he says my name that way.  “Yeah, Jay, I’m fine.”

He smiles knowingly as he says, “I still can’t believe your mom knew already…”

I nod, lacing my fingers through his as I remember their reaction – understanding, accepting.

Welcoming.

Home

Never have I been so glad to set foot on the hardwood floors of our entryway.  For the first time, it truly feels like home.

We bought it together, but now, there are no pretenses.  Everyone who matters to us knows.

Everyone.

I drop the suitcase and turn to Jasper, pulling him close as I bury my face in the crook of his neck.  I inhale deeply, my fingers clutching at his sides, and I feel his strong arms wrap around me.

“I know, baby,” he says softly.

He urges my face up and kisses me, tenderness building toward passion.

Belong

What begins with slow kisses and innocent touches turns into something more as we make our way to our room.  Jasper’s hands are nimble, undressing me as we go.  By the time our knees brush against the mattress, our clothes are open and loose, easy to cast off with a simple shrug.

No words are spoken as we worship each other, lips and hands finding those coveted places we avoided under my parents’ roof despite sharing a bed.

When he finally presses into me with a whispered, “I love you,” I know we are meant to be this way forever.

  2. Aww yay! You have no idea how happy I am that you enjoyed them :) Unless I'm forgetting something, this was my first attempt at JasPeter, and I didn't really expect it to be Peter's POV. I'm glad you think I did them justice! Happy birthday, lovely!
